The Environment Ministry said on 6 December of each year as "Peruvian Ranger Day" in recognition of its work to safeguard our protected areas.
From here our tribute to all men and women who work 365 days a year dedicated to this activity as a fundamental and played numerous activities such as: protection and conservation, control, monitoring, environmental education, sustainable tourism, research support and participation consistent with local communities.
Be Ranger is to defend the natural heritage of Peru contained in our 70 protected areas of national administration, from the extraordinary and often inhospitable conditions and geographic locations, where daily renew their vocation service through a commitment to environmental management.
Ranger Day In Peru, the SERNANP express their recognition for his work as "vigilant gatekeepers", who never falter and instead prevent the depletion of our biodiversity, caring for illegal activities as illegal mining, burning of forests, illegal logging, among others, for the beneficial of the present and future generations.
